As part of their Vintage Series, the British Pedal Company fully revive the 1965 to 1966 Zonk Machine fuzz from its more than fifty-year-long slumber. Directly based on the original Wilsic Sound pedal that was born in Leeds and designed by Mr. John Hornby Skewes, this fuzz box takes the same circuit as the Gary Hurst designed MKI Tone Bender then adds a touch more boost and shaving off a little of the bottom end. Thanks to the authentic configuration of the three transistors that lie inside, the Zonk Machine MKI delivers super-tight fuzz articulated by light yet satisfying oscillation - and just like the sixties original, it can only be powered by a standard 9V battery.
